My emotional bank account cannot withstand any more withdrawals listening to all the doom and gloom. Can’t wait for the election to be behind us. Amen. That being said, imagine a world without interest in our elders, except to keep them alive with or without quality of life — so that payments to the nursing home, or hospital can continue to come in. Sounds controversial, I’m sure. What if, because financial donors to non profits are also feeling the gripping drop in investments, that Ageless Dreamer is forced to shut its doors? Sure we’re still a newbie but we’ve made national attention in the June 2008 edition of Family Circle Magazine. We can still be flexible and mold and remold Ageless Dreamer into more than what it now does. Anyone in business knows that the first three years are the toughest. The fourth year offers hope that you’ll make it to the fifth. February 10, 2009 Ageless Dreamer will celebrate the beginning of it’s 4th year. What if end of year donations come to a scheeching halt. Forget day dreaming. No one will remember to ask if you have an ageless dream. They’ll just be asking if you took your last medicine, if you’ve had a bowl movement recently, or if you’ve paid your taxes. Scary stuff for all us BabyBoomers going forward. If you think this isn’t serious business, or that it doesn’t involve you, visit a local nursing or assisted living place. Imagine it’s YOU sitting there in one of those rooms staring at the TV, the wall, or out the window. The biggest deal of your day was not being constipated.
